Während einer Partie Wyrmspan bauen Sie ein Heiligtum für Drachen aller Formen und Größen. Ihr Heiligtum beginnt mit 3 ausgegrabenen Bereichen – dem äußersten linken Bereich Ihrer Purpurhöhle, Ihrer Goldgrotte und Ihrem Amethystabgrund. Im Laufe des Spiels graben Sie weitere Bereiche in Ihrem Heiligtum aus und locken Drachen an, dort zu leben, wodurch Sie mächtige Fähigkeiten miteinander verketten und die Gunst der Drachengilde erlangen.

Wyrmspan ist von den Mechanismen von Wingspan inspiriert, aber seine einzigartigen Elemente machen Wyrmspan zu einem eigenständigen Spiel (nicht kompatibel mit Wingspan).
