The Gears of Corruption Expansionen till Expeditions tillför inslag av risk och fara i form av hemliga bonusar på kartmarkörer och en korrumperad mech som strövar omkring i landet. För att motverka dessa hot erbjuder expansionen 2 nya mechar och 4 nya karaktär-/följeslagarpar, samt komponenter för en 6:e spelare. Gears of Corruption påskyndar också det tidiga spelet genom att ge spelarna startresurser och en hjältearbetare som kan agera som vilken typ av arbetare som helst.
