Played this with six people and it still moved fast, maybe 50 minutes once we knew the rules. The two-castle scoring makes you care about the player on both sides of you, which is a neat twist on plain tile placement. Solo mode works too, though I mostly keep it for game night.

The drafting mechanic really shines at higher player counts—we got eight people around the table and it never dragged, which is rare for a tile-layer. Setup is quick and the 45-minute playtime held true for us even with newbies.

We’ve played it three times this week with six people and it flew by every time—the simultaneous drafting keeps everyone involved even when it’s not your turn. The 1-8 player range actually works well, since we had two drop out mid-game and it adjusted smoothly.
