Played our first two-player game last night and it took just about the two hours promised, which felt right for how much was going on. The purple-icon civ mats are a nice touch since you can tell at a glance you've got the updated version. Already planning a solo run this weekend.
The revised civ mats with the purple icon are such a thoughtful fix—my group noticed the balance improvements right away. Even at four players, the 2-hour pacing kept everyone engaged without that dragged-out feeling mid-game.
The 2-hour playtime is spot on—we finished our first game right at the mark, and the revised civ mats with the purple icon made setup much clearer than my older copy. Solo mode against the automa is surprisingly tense and keeps the strategy tight.
