De Gears of Corruption uitbreiding op Expeditions voegt elementen van risico en gevaar toe in de vorm van geheime bonussen op kaartfiches en een gecorrumpeerde mech die door het land zwerft. Om deze dreigingen het hoofd te bieden, biedt de uitbreiding 2 nieuwe mechs en 4 nieuwe personage/companion-paren, evenals onderdelen voor een 6e speler. Gears of Corruption versnelt ook het vroege spel door spelers startmiddelen en een heldenwerker te geven die als elk type werker kan fungeren.
