Picked this up for our weekly game night and the 3000th Harvest Tournament setup got everyone invested right away. The way it layers new goals onto the base game kept things tense without dragging the playtime out.
The story framing around Pomme’s animals founding new kingdoms is a clever touch that my group loved, and the new pie-themed objectives fit right into the base game’s pace. It adds just the right amount of spice without overstaying its welcome.
My group played the 3000th Harvest Tournament storyline last weekend and the new kingdom-building mechanics for the ancient animals kept everyone engaged for two full sessions. The rulebook walks you through setting up the distant lands clearly, even for players who are new to expansion content.
