The individual achievements add landmarks to your capital city, which gives the game a nice solo-ish goal to chase while the sneaky interaction cards keep opponents guessing. I've played four games already and each one felt fresh with the revised civs.
The revised civilizations actually fix my biggest gripe with the base game, and the new landmark achievements give each session a clear goal to chase. Sneaking in those interaction tiles adds a fun layer of tension without slowing down the pacing.
The achievements that unlock landmarks for your capital add just the right amount of direction without making the game feel scripted. I’ve played three times already and each game took a totally different turn because of how those sneaky interactions with opponents shift your strategy.
