I played it solo twice already and the three-faceted spiritual journey really clicks once you get the rhythm down. The 1-2 player setup is perfect for when my usual game partner isn't around.
The three-faceted scoring paths keep every turn feeling meaningful, even when we're just placing a few tiles. I love how the pilgrimage theme actually comes through in the mechanics rather than just being pretty art on the box.
It plays so smoothly even with just one player, and the three-way choice between pilgrim paths, hot springs, and scenic views keeps every turn interesting.
